Scott has been involved in numerous areas of physiotherapy since 1998 including hospital and outpatient rehab, residential care, injury prevention, and currently home care and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Scott is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Clinical Exercise Specialist. He currently works with cardiac rehab, risk reduction, and pulmonary clients in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program in Penticton and at Summerland Physiotherapy and Sports Care.

Debbie has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education from the University of Manitoba. She spent most of her 30 year career working in Penticton focused on providing social services to a variety of age populations. Most recently she worked with seniors in municipal and private recreation programming and management and has also managed a seniors retirement residence. She has coached athletes and individuals and is passionate about supporting individuals in their health and wellness journey. She is committed to supporting those looking to create positive changes in their lives.

Kelsey

Trainer

Kelsey has a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a clinical exercise focus. In addition, she is a BACK Registered Kinesiologist, a CFES certified Personal Trainer and is First Aid/AED certified.

She graduated in 2015 from the University of British Columbia Okanagan and started working with Active Living in the fall of that same year. Kelsey also works with ICBC/return to work rehab programs, running different special population fitness classes such as Parkinson’s Disease and Fibromyalgia, and leads regular personal training/fitness classes.

Kelsey has a passionate love of sports and keeping fit. She sustained a serious knee injury in her teenage years and this encouraged her to get into Kinesiology and exercise science. "I love being able to help others get back into the game, or to their daily life after an injury or set back. Watching people increase their quality of life and succeed is what motivates me to continue helping people."

Maureen Barranoik

Owner

Maureen has worked in the recreation and wellness industry for over 20 years. She has a Business Management Bachelor Degree, Recreation Facilities Management Diploma and is a Certified BCRPA Personal Trainer with specialized training and experience in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. Her passion is living and teaching about the importance of an active lifestyle and believes there are simple yet effective ways to promote maximum health and longevity. Maureen values health and wellness and is inspired daily by participants who decide to make positive changes in these areas.
